An estimate is a promise. We make ones we can keep

Padding numbers and hedging with disclaimers doesn't build trust. Honest scoping and real trade-offs do.

We scope in the open. We separate what's genuinely known from what's assumed, name the risks that could move the date, and offer trade-offs instead of padding: cut this to hit that, or accept the later date with eyes open. Bad news delivered early is a plan; delivered late it's an excuse.

The goal isn't a perfect prediction — it's a commitment we can actually keep, and a client who never has to wonder whether we're telling them the whole story.
